Relax? Yes please


Pure relaxation comes with peace and ease of the mind. You don't need any special power to relax so chill.


We are going to go through some basics to relaxing and how you can easily ease your mind.


But first of all we need to know the meaning of what we are doing. 


According to Merriam Webster's dictionary To relax means to make less tense or rigid.


Pure relaxation can make you feel refreshed. This helps your body system to heal and be more flexible.


There are multiple ways to relax and they can help your mind and body. 


So we will be learning how to make our body and mind less tense or rigid in these few ways:


Breathing



One way you can relax anywhere and anytime is breathing exercises.


Aside it's stress relieving capability it helps with sleeping problems, anxiety and depression.


Taking deep slow but steady breaths is one easy technique however there are other advanced techniques.


The pursed lip breathing technique; the aim of this technique is to make you slow down the rate of the movement of your breathing by carefully applying affort in each breath. 


Others you can research are the diaphragmatic breathing


Soothing music



Music affects your emotion and body system.


Listening to the right one can help you relax or concentrate or for whatever reason you are listening to it.


Music with a fast tempo for instance is good for work because it will help you to be more alert but music with a slower, softer tone and tempo soothes your mind and relaxes your muscles better.


Meditating



Practicing mindful meditation means focusing in the immediate surrounding. Listening to your body, especially your breathing patterns (are you breathing too fast, hard, facile) or listening to your surrounding (birds, breeze, water dripping) or any soft noise and dwelling in it.


The aim of mindful meditation is focusing in the present moment.


Imagery



Picturing yourself in a place filled with serenity can help you relax. Imagery is picturing yourself in a calm place and meditating on it. You can also make use of audio tapes and books to help direct you. 


Journalling



Keeping a journal for instance can be very good when trying to relax your emotions. It's like putting your worries or emotions on paper and leaving it there. You'll eventually feel more at ease when you're done.


Warm bath




This is one of the most enjoyable ways to relax. Aside the thrilling enjoyment, it is a very healthy practice. It is good for the heart, elevates the mood, eases sleeping problems and relieves muscle pain.


Try this simple way to make a warm bath; fill bathroom tub with water. The temperature should not exceed your body temperature. Add essential oils like rose, lavender, etc. To spice things up.


Walking



You can ease so much tension by a brisk walk and fresh air. Creating time for short walks and  and for hobbies can help in relaxation.


Massage




Applying pressure on tensed areas of the body can help you relax. You can stretch your muscles and do physical postures to ease muscle tension
