Closing Remarks for The Year

It is finally here. The end of the year. I still remember vividly the candles that lit up the night on new years eve last year. The screams that heralded the new year was one of optimism. We all drew long plans and made beautiful resolutions and then. The first wave.

We heard rumors after rumors which eventually turned a living nightmare. So many families in the world were affected and many lost their lives to the virus.

Globally, citizens were ordered to stay indoors to reduce the spread of the Flu scientists warned would affect the globe. Countless number of people slid into depression as the world was forced into lockdown.

Fear gripped millions of people as the number of infected people rose every single day.

And soon, things became better.

Study revealed that the lockdown had so many good effect on the environment (Impact of covid-19 on the environment). We survived. It was hard to start all over again but we were grateful we lived through it.

And soon the Black lives Matter movement which was said to have been one of the largest movements in the United States history.

Other protests occurred like the EndSars movement in Nigeria and CongoBleeds protest against child slavery.

We also lost great athletes and actors actresses.

2020 was a trying year for all of us.

But now it has all passed. We are trying to take deep breaths of relief, trying to start again where we left off due to the Covid.

Many of us learned valuable life lessons and life skills. I learned how to make website prototypes! Unlikely for someone who loves to write. This year proved the surviving nature that is inherent in all human beings on the face of the earth.

In all the downs and ups we are grateful we made to the end of this event filled year. A new chance to start fresh and new.

This coming year, I hope with all my heart that something good brings the world together again without us loosing lives, properties and hopes.

Cheers to the end of the year.
